OUR STORY
Halieus is a collection of the interests and experiences of two guys from Southern Appalachia. We spent years traveling around the southeast selling vintage clothing and escaping into the mountains to fly fish. We noticed something. The vintage styles that we love have been watered down. Halieus brings back true vintage style, charming imperfection, and reverence for the beauty of nature.

MEANING & MISSION
Halieus (ἁλιεύς) is the Greek word for "fisherman" used to call Peter and Andrew to follow Jesus and evangelize. Our faith and commitment to the Gospel have drawn us to this name. Though our apparel is focused on fly fishing and true vintage design, everyone who wears it, knowingly or not, displays the original call to evangelize straight from the mouth of Jesus Christ.
More about us
Halieus began as a concept between two friends, Eli Huston and John Kirk, in the spring of 2025. A summer of help from generous business leaders and friends led to a winter of planning and logistics. Now it's go time.
We are both from Chattanooga, Tennessee and attend Auburn University and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, respectively. After a few business ventures growing up, this is the one. The culmination of our passion for fly fishing and love for vintage. We are excited to watch Halieus grow and hope that you choose to follow us on the journey.
